Liverpool welcome Tottenham to Anfield in the Premier League’s late Saturday kick off.
Jurgen Klopp’s men come into this having qualified for the Champions League final in midweek. After falling 2-0 behind by half time, The Reds came back to snatch it 3-2 on the night.
That set up a showdown with Real Madrid in Paris later this month in Europe’s biggest match. It could also be one quarter of a potentially historic quadruple.
Tottenham meanwhile haven’t had any European action and so can come into this fresh. It will also help that their last game was a good 3-1 win over Leicester last weekend.
This game will have a significant impact both on the title race and the race for top four. Liverpool are just one point behind rivals Manchester City at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Tottenham are two points behind Arsenal who are fourth.

The hosts come into this game boasting the best home form in the Premier League. Out of their 17 home league games to date, they haven’t lost a single one, winning 14 and drawing three.
To flip that, Tottenham’s away form must surely come into play here too. However, the North London club’s record on the road is far from perfect.
Of their 17 league games away from home this season, Spurs have won just eight. They’ve lost six and drawn the other three.

That’s probably the biggest criticism of this Spurs side this season. The positive they can take from that however is that they turn up against the better sides.
What will concern Tottenham fans is their terrible record at Anfield. Spurs haven’t won at Liverpool since 2011, an extensive run of 12 games.
The stats and records don’t really favour the visitors here, but anything can happen in football. One thing is for sure, if they’re going to win this, they’ll have to be at their very best.

The head to head record between these two makes for awful reading for Spurs fans. Of the last ten meetings, Tottenham have won just once.
That sole win was a 4-1 victory at Wembley in October 2017. Spurs haven’t won this fixture since. Only two of the other ten have ended in a draw, with Liverpool winning the other seven games.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will also keep his place at right wing back. On the other side, Andy Robertson is likely to start the game at left wing back.
Virgil Van Dijk will start here, as he always does for the important games. He will be partnered by Joel Matip, despite Ibrahima Konate impressing of late.
Fabinho will anchor the midfield and is likely to be joined by Thiago and Naby Keita. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane provide the attacking threat. With Luis Diaz coming in for Diogo Jota after his midweek goal.

Dejan Kulusevski has impressed since arriving at Spurs in January. The Swede has provided a ton of assists already and as bedded in well. He was benched last week, presumably with the intention of starting here.
