UFC events in Ireland are broadcast live on TNT Sports and can be streamed through Discovery+, Sky, Virgin Media and NOW. UFC Fight Nights, numbered UFC PPVs and preliminary cards are all available through these services. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has exploded in popularity across Ireland over the past decade, thanks in no small part to the rise of Irish superstars. Some of the best UFC fighters of all time came from the Emerald Isle, such as Conor McGregor, Ian Garry, and Shauna Bannon.
Out of all the leagues, promotions, and organisations, the UFC remains the biggest and most exciting in the sport. Irish fans have more ways than ever to catch every punch, kick, and submission from around the world. Whether you want to watch every Fight Night or just tune in for the pay-per-view main events, here’s where to watch the UFC in Ireland.
Subscriptions
If you want year-round access to UFC events, a subscription is the most reliable way to keep up. From live broadcasts to on-demand replays and exclusive content, these services give fans complete access to the Octagon whenever and wherever they like. When choosing where to watch the UFC in Ireland, subscription services are some of the most accessible.
TNT Sports
TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) is the exclusive broadcaster of the UFC in Ireland and the UK. They air every major UFC event live, including Fight Nights and numbered pay-per-view cards such as UFC 300. Coverage includes pre-fight analysis, weigh-ins, post-fight interviews, and expert commentary from well-known pundits.

TNT Sports is available through Sky, Virgin Media, and Eir, as well as directly via the HBO Max app. While most of the cards appear on normal channels (TNT Sports 1-4), some of the more high-profile fights are only available by purchasing them through TNT Sports Box Office. With its high-quality HD streams and professional coverage, TNT Sports is the go-to option for Irish fans who want to experience the UFC as it happens.
Discovery+
Previously, fight fans could watch coverage through a Discovery+ subscription. However, that service is no longer available after the broadcaster announced a new partnership with HBO. Discovery+ and TNT ceased their partnership on March 26, 2026, the launch day of HBO Max.
HBO Max
If you prefer streaming over traditional TV, HBO Max is a fantastic alternative. HBO Max offers access to all TNT Sports channels, meaning you can watch every UFC event live or on demand. Subscribers can stream directly on smart TVs, mobile devices, or computers, making it easy to catch fights anywhere in Ireland. Packages vary depending on your TV provider, but HBO Max typically includes all TNT Sports channels. HBO Max also offers bonus content, including highlights, documentaries, and UFC-themed features.
UFC Fight Pass
For hardcore MMA enthusiasts, UFC Fight Pass is the ultimate destination. This is the UFC’s official streaming service, available directly from the promotion itself. A subscription costs €9.99 per month and gives access to:
- Early prelims for every UFC event
- Full fight replays and archives from every era of the sport
- Exclusive shows, documentaries, and classic fights
- Live coverage of other MMA promotions such as Cage Warriors, Invicta FC, and Eternal MMA
UFC Fight Pass is ideal for fans who want the most comprehensive MMA library available. It can be accessed on most devices, including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and games consoles. It also offers an immersive experience, with the ability to make UFC predictions on the app.
NOW TV
If you don’t want to commit to a long-term subscription, NOW TV is a flexible way to watch TNT Sports and, by extension, UFC events. With daily or monthly passes, NOW TV gives you access to all TNT Sports channels without a contract. This makes it perfect for fans who only want to tune in for the biggest fights or occasional events. Streaming is available in HD on mobile, tablet, or TV, and setup takes just a few minutes. For casual fans, NOW TV is the simplest way to get instant access to live UFC coverage in Ireland.
Other Ways to Follow the UFC in Ireland
Sometimes, committing to a subscription is too much hassle. After all, how many subscriptions does the average household have nowadays? If you don’t fancy forking out some money every month, here are some other options when deciding where to watch the UFC in Ireland.
YouTube and Social Media
The official UFC YouTube channel regularly uploads fight highlights, press conferences, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. They will often upload full-fight replays during the week of fights. They and the TNT Sport YouTube channel also regularly upload classic fights in full. Social platforms like X (Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok are also great for live updates, fighter announcements, and real-time reactions from fans and fighters alike.
Mobile Apps
The UFC app (available on iOS and Android) provides real-time stats, event schedules, fighter profiles, and push notifications for key moments. They will also provide UFC betting odds for each card. You can also link your Fight Pass account directly through the app to stream events seamlessly.
How Long is a UFC Event?
UFC Events typically last between four and six hours, but timings can vary depending on the length of each fight. While every fight has a time limit, they can end early through knockouts, submissions, DQs, and No-Contests. The timings of events vary from card to card, as there is no way of knowing which bout will last the distance.
All UFC cards are split into three segments: early prelims, prelims, and main card fights. The early prelims usually consist of relatively unknown fighters looking to break into the UFC. However, we can sometimes catch some big names there on stacked cards. The preliminary rounds are for the fighters who are a step above that and perhaps already beginning to make a name for themselves. That includes semi-popular fighters who aren’t quite big enough names to be on the main card. Finally, the main card is when the headline bouts and championship fights take place.
Every UFC fight is scheduled for either three or five rounds, depending on the importance. Most fights on a UFC card are three rounds, except main events/co-main events and title fights, which are five. This usually means that on events like UFC 300, the final two fights are five rounds. On Fight Nights, only the main event lasts five rounds. However, it is becoming more common to see three five-round fights on major events where the card is stacked with talent.
