Wimbledon 2025 promises to be one of the most exciting Grand Slams in recent memory. With tennis in a state of generational shift, this year’s Championships could deliver a thrilling mix of breakthrough performances, comeback stories, and legacy-defining moments.

On the men’s side, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are leading the new era. Alcaraz is aiming for a historic Wimbledon three-peat, while world No.1 Sinner will look to finally lift the trophy on grass after overtaking his Spanish rival in the rankings. But veterans like Novak Djokovic, chasing a record-tying eighth Wimbledon title, will have something to say about that.

The women’s draw looks even more wide open. Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and former champion Elena Rybakina headline a competitive field. American stars Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, and emerging talent Emma Navarro are all genuine threats.

From form guides to head-to-head matchups, we’ve analysed the key contenders and outlined our top tennis predictions and betting tips for both the gentlemen’s and ladies’ singles draws at Wimbledon.

Wimbledon Gentlemen’s 2025 Predictions

2025 Winner: Carlos Alcaraz

Two young superstars are neck and neck in the tennis betting for a Wimbledon triumph. Carlos Alcaraz will be going for the threepeat at Wimbledon this year, having won the gentlemen’s title in 2023 and 2024. The 22-year-old already boasts five career majors. Twenty-three-year-old Jannik Sinner has three and pipped Alcaraz to the top of the ATP World Rankings in time for the biggest tournament in tennis.

The two have met just twice at Wimbledon, in 2022, when Sinner defeated the Spaniard in four sets. However, Alcaraz has enjoyed the most success between the two, with Sinner yet to win the famed tournament. The prospect of another meeting at Wimbledon between the two is salivating, especially if their routes to the final culminate in the world number one and two standing across the court from one another. However, there will be several players in their way.

Former world number one Novak Djokovic is one away from matching Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles. The Serbian had his first major-less season in seven years last year. At 38, he is coming to the end of his career. However, there is still life left in the legend, and he has shown his class with two semi-final appearances in majors this season.

The Elder Statesman has enjoyed some excellent battles with the two younger stars. He has a winning record against Alcaraz, but has lost to him in two Wimbledon finals. Sinner jumped one ahead in their rivalry after defeating him in the Roland Garros semifinal.

World number three Alexander Zverev and four Jack Draper round out the most likely players. Both men are still searching for their first major triumph, although at slightly different stages in their careers. Draper is still only 23 and is showing signs of improvement following his Indian Wells Open victory in March. Zverev, on the other hand, is 28. Though still an incredible talent, he is probably just past peak age for a tennis player and needs a win to stomp out the prospect of earning a ‘nearly-man’ moniker.

Wimbledon Gentlemen’s 2025 Betting Tips

Wimbledon Men’s Singles Winner – Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz comes alive at Wimbledon. The Spaniard has not lost a match on the hallowed green since 2022 and is chasing a historic three-peat in SW19. His explosive movement, heavy forehand, and touch at the net make him tailor-made for grass. While Sinner has taken over the No.1 spot in the rankings, Alcaraz’s Wimbledon pedigree gives him the edge here. He knows how to win tight five-setters and has already bested both Sinner and Djokovic in previous finals. At 6/4, he is a justifiable favourite and our top pick to lift the trophy again for anyone betting on tennis.

Best Longshot Bet – Jack Draper

The British No.1 looks primed for a breakout run at his home Slam. Draper has matured rapidly on tour this year, and his Indian Wells title in March proved he can beat top-10 players under pressure. He has the power game that suits grass with a booming lefty serve, flat groundstrokes, and a willingness to come forward. Backed by a passionate home crowd, he could be this year’s dark horse. At 9/1, he offers excellent value, especially if he can avoid the top two seeds until the semis.

Wimbledon Ladies’ 2025 Predictions

2025 Winner: Elena Rybakina

The race for the Venus Rosewater Dish looks as open as it has been in years, with a new wave of talent challenging the old guard on grass this summer. Aryna Sabalenka remains the world No.1 and enters Wimbledon as the slight favourite, but her record at SW19 is still underwhelming compared to her dominance on clay and hard courts. She has been absent from two of the previous three tournaments and has never gone past the semi-final.

Elena Rybakina, the 2022 champion, will be a major threat once again. Her big serve and flat, aggressive groundstrokes are made for the surface, and she boasts a 19-3 career record at Wimbledon. Injuries disrupted her 2024 season, but when fit, she remains the most dangerous player in the draw.

Iga Swiatek has dropped to her lowest ranking since March 2022 this year, but still has two semifinals to her name this season. The fact that this is considered a bad year for Swiatek is a testament to her talent. She has never quite got on with the green, but will come to Wimbledon with a point to prove.

America is well backed in the tournament with four entrants ranked in the top 10. World No. 2 Coco Gauff leads the charge after becoming a two-time Grand Slam champion after winning the French Open in June. The 21-year-old looks like an incredible talent, and she can make her first big boom on grass this summer.

Jessica Pegula is still looking for her maiden Grand Slam, while Madison Keys won hers at the Australian Open in January. Emma Navarro had a breakout year in 2024, and the youngster could have a star-making outing on the green. All four women are dangerous competitors, but Gauff and Navarro look like the future stars of the sport, and we are expecting big things from the pair.

Wimbledon Ladies’ 2025 Betting Tips

Wimbledon Women’s Singles Winner – Elena Rybakina

With Wimbledon experience and a title already under her belt, Rybakina looks the most complete package on grass. Her serve is one of the best in the game, and she thrives on quick points, something Swiatek and Sabalenka often struggle to contain on this surface. Her record at the tournament speaks for itself, and her main competitor, Sabalenka, has struggled on grass. She looks great value for a bet at 5/1 with our online sportsbook.

Best Longshot Bet – Coco Gauff

Still just 21, Gauff has the athleticism and mentality to win any major. Though grass isn’t her natural surface, she’s reached the fourth round twice already. Her improved serve and aggression under new coaching could see her make a serious title charge at 9/1 if the draw breaks her way. Gauff’s best tennis is in front of her, and we could see something special this year at Wimbledon.
