O’Brien had surgery on his thumb and will return later in the season. There are otherwise no fresh injury worries for the Newport Dragons.
Munster Rugby Team News
Diarmuid Kilgallen and Peter O’Mahony made successful returns against Northampton and came through the game with no issues. They will be available for selection against the Dragons. Mike Haley was injured in that game and requires a scan. He is doubtful to return on Saturday. Niall Scannell failed a Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and will enter the graduated return-to-play protocols. The medical team will assess Shane Daly and John Hodnett later in the week and they could make their returns here.
