They have lost matches against Zebre, Leinster, the Stormers, and the Sharks. They also lost the club friendly against the All Blacks XV 24-48. The victory against the Lions was crucial in steadying the sinking ship last week. We expect a Munster side of old to dominate this round of ERCC fixtures.
If you have followed both sides this season, inconsistency is the main issue surrounding the camps. Paris handed Clermont a devastating 36-6 defeat in the last week of October. However, they followed this up with a poor performance on the road to La Rochelle. A promising victory followed at home against Racing 92 before another road defeat, this time to Bayonne. Munster Team News
The Munster injury list is massive, but there are signs it is decreasing. Thaakir Abrahams, Shane Daly, and Alex Nankivell returned last week, and Liam Coombes played for Munster A. Mike Haley should return to the fold after passing his HIA inspections and Oli Jager is nearly ready to resume full training. Edwin Edogbo and Jean Kleyn are not ready for a return this week with Edogbo looking likely to return in 2025.
Several players were away on international duty, including Peter O’Mahony, Conor Murray, Tadhg Beirne, Calvin Nash, Jack Crowley, and Craig Casey. However, nine players are no closer to a return and will miss this game. Roman Salanoa, Seán O’Brien, Cian Hurley, Diarmuid Kilgallen, Patrick Campbell, Jeremy Loughman, Dave Kilcoyne, Mark Donnelly, and Josh Wycherley.
