Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction
Our prediction leans towards Manchester United, and not by a whisker. Our model gives the hosts a 60% chance of winning, with the draw at 21% and Tottenham at just 19%. That makes Manchester United 60% Premier League betting favourites, with 2-1 the likeliest score. The 41-point gap between the two sides tells you how little the numbers think of Spurs right now. Their last five have produced no wins and three goals, and they have yet to score away from home this season. United are hardly flying either, but they create chances by the bucketload and they keep scoring late. The one thing nagging at us is the head-to-head, where Spurs have had the better of recent years. Form beats history here, though, and 2-1 to United feels right.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tips
Selections suggested by our editorial team
Manchester United or draw
Spurs have gone five without a win and drew a blank in both their away league games. United have lost just once at home. Adding the draw covers the cagey stalemate, which is exactly what Tottenham served up against Everton and Forest.
Manchester United to win
For us the straight win is where the value sits in sports betting terms. United average 22.6 shots a game and 2.5 goals per home match, while Spurs ship 1.6 a game. It may take patience, since most of United's goals come after the hour.
Tottenham Hotspur +1.5
United's games stay tight even when they go well. Their four results against Premier League sides in this run were all draws or one-goal games: 2-2, 0-1, 2-3 and 1-1. Handicap betting on Spurs +1.5 covers a 2-1 home win, a draw and anything better for the visitors.
We have three angles on this one, and they all start from the same place: Tottenham cannot score. Our best bet is Manchester United or the draw at 81%, with the straight home win and Spurs on the handicap as the other two plays, whichever the sports betting odds favour on the day. That last one might look contradictory, but it still pays out on the 2-1 our model expects.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Key Stats
The callout that matters most for the bet hides inside Tottenham's clean-sheet figure. Spurs kept a clean sheet in 40% of their league games, yet both of those were 0-0 draws, not wins. 63% of Manchester United's goals arrived after the 60th minute. That means if the game is level at the break, the live betting price on United is worth a look. The other number, Spurs winning 67% of the last six meetings, is the one real argument against United. We think current form outweighs it.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form

Neither side arrives in good nick, but there is a gulf between bad and dreadful. Tottenham have not won any of their last five, scoring three goals and conceding eight. They opened with a 2-0 loss to Newcastle and ground out goalless draws with Forest and Everton. After that came a 3-1 defeat by Liverpool and a 3-2 loss to Aston Villa. So two straight defeats is the current run, and they have not scored in either away league game.
United's five reads one win, two draws and two defeats, with nine scored and seven conceded. Strip out the 4-0 over Sabah and it looks thinner: a 2-2 with Everton, losses to City and Brighton, then a 1-1 with Fulham. Still, they average 2.5 goals per home match. That home attack against a side scoring 0.6 a game is the matchup we're backing.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Head-to-Head
This is the bit that would make a United fan wince. Tottenham have won four of the last six meetings, and United's only win in that spell was the 2-0 last February. Before that came a 2-2, two 1-0 Spurs wins, a wild 4-3 and a 3-0 Spurs win on United's own patch.
We would not lean on it too heavily. That Spurs side was scoring goals, and this one has three in five. In Premier League odds a head-to-head record is a decent tiebreaker. It is not a reason to ignore what both clubs are doing now.

Spurs are hit harder. Jan Paul van Hecke had played every minute and scored, and he is now out with a foot injury. Mudryk's ankle rules him out too, while Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are doubts with cruciate tears. United lose Matthijs de Ligt to a back problem and Amad Diallo to a knock, and Manuel Ugarte is a doubt. Losing van Hecke weakens a Spurs defence that has already conceded eight in five.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur Match Preview
Our case for United rests on one simple mismatch. Manchester United score 1.6 goals per match while Tottenham score 0.4. A team that cannot find the net rarely wins away to hosts averaging 2.5 goals a game at home. Spurs see plenty of the ball, 61% on average, but they do little with it: 14.2 shots and 3.8 on target per match, against United's 22.6 and 5.6.
Timing is the other big read. United have not scored in the first half hour of any league game, and 63% of their goals come after the 60th minute. Both of Tottenham's league goals came in the final 15 minutes. If it is goalless at half-time, don't panic: the live betting price on United will have drifted, and that is the moment to get on. United have also shipped two goals between the 16th and 30th minutes this season. If they fall behind early their odds will lengthen too, and their habit of scoring late argues for patience there as well.
Goals overall should be modest. Both sides have gone over 2.5 in 40% of their games, and only 20% of Tottenham's matches have seen both teams score. There will be livelier totals elsewhere in this weekend's football betting. Here, under 3.5 is our safer over under betting angle, with over 3.5 averaging only 30% across the two clubs. A 2-1 fits that picture neatly, and it squares with an 81% chance of United avoiding defeat.
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Key Players
Season figures, 2026/2027.
Five appearances, 450 minutes, three goals and an assist. He has a hand in half of United's league goals, and if United score late, as they so often do, he is the likeliest name on the scoresheet.
Cunha has a goal and an assist from 410 minutes, which undersells his work. He links play for a side taking over 22 shots a game, and with Amad Diallo out, more of the creative burden falls on him.
Gallagher has scored one of Tottenham's two league goals in only 135 minutes across three appearances. He brings energy and has already been booked once, so he is a card angle as much as a goal threat.
Robertson has 367 minutes and the assist for one of Tottenham's two goals. With this Spurs attack so blunt, his delivery from wide may be their best route to troubling the United defence at all.
United's goals come from a small group, and one man stands well above the rest. Bruno Fernandes has scored three of United's eight league goals and has not missed a minute, so his scorer price is the first we would check, given he is playing like one of the best Man United players ever. Spurs have scored twice all season, through Conor Gallagher and the injured van Hecke, which tells you how thin their threat really is.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Goals Per Match
Goals scored and conceded per match. Manchester United: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches; Tottenham Hotspur: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches.

The goals per match figures point one way: United to score, Spurs to struggle. Tottenham average 0.4 goals per match, a full 1.2 fewer than United. Both sides concede 1.6 a game, so there is nothing between them defensively. That is why we don't treat a United clean sheet as a given.
United should get two, which is exactly where our 2-1 comes from. Away from home Spurs have yet to score at all this season, while United put 2.5 per home match past visitors. Backing United over 1.5 team goals looks a fair price to us.

Don't expect fireworks early. Neither side has scored in the opening 15 minutes this season, and United have not scored inside the first half hour at all. Their goals build through the game: one before the break, two in each of the next two 15-minute spells, then three in the final 15.
Tottenham are even more extreme. Both of their goals came after the 75th minute. They concede in the middle of matches, with three of their eight goals against arriving between the hour mark and the 75th minute. If United are ahead by then, live betting on the hosts adding a second looks a good spot.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Shots and Possession
Attacking volume, efficiency and control of possession.
Sample: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches per club.
The shot numbers back United, even if the possession figures don't. United take 22.6 shots per match against Tottenham's 14.2, and that gap of 8.4 matters more than who has the ball. Possession is almost dead level at 60% to 61%, so Spurs will have their spells. They turn them into 3.8 shots on target a game, though, while United manage 5.6.
Spurs are a fraction more accurate, putting 27% of their shots on target to United's 25%, but that is nothing to build a bet on when they shoot so rarely. Expect Kinský to be the busier keeper, and look at shots on target markets for the hosts rather than the visitors.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Goal Lines and Both Teams to Score

| Both teams score | 60% | 20% | 40% |
Sample: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches per club.
The goal lines point to a game with goals but not a glut. Over 1.5 goals has landed in 80% of United's matches, against 60% for Spurs, and that 70% average makes it the steadiest line on the card. Push it to 2.5 and the picture changes, with both sides sitting at 40%. Over 3.5 drops to a 30% average, and Spurs are only at 20%.
Both teams to score is a closer call than it looks. United's games see both sides score 60% of the time but Tottenham's only 20%, which leaves the average at 40%. Our 2-1 does need Spurs to score. Even so, we'd rather back over 1.5 than chase a both teams to score price on a side this blunt.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Discipline and Set Pieces
Match friction and corner volume, measured per match.
Sample: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches per club.
Cards look a poor market here. The two sides combine for just 2.2 yellow cards a game, with no reds between them. United pick up 1.2 per match and Spurs 1.0. Tottenham do foul a lot more, 13.2 a game to United's 9.8, which tells you how often they end up chasing.
Corners are the livelier angle. United win 7.2 a game and concede only 3.8, and Spurs win 7.6. A combined 14.8 corners per match makes the corner overs far more appealing than any card line.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Runs and Trends
Numbers that capture each club's current form.

Sample: Premier League · 2026/2027 season · 5 matches per club.
The trends say United's games are decided late, and that should shape how you bet them. Manchester United score 63% of their goals after the 60th minute and just 12% before half-time. They also concede half of theirs after the hour, so nothing is settled at the break.
Tottenham are the extreme case. Every one of their league goals has come after the 60th minute and none in the first half, and they concede half after the hour as well.
United are unbeaten in just one, the 1-1 with Fulham, which is no streak to brag about. Still, the betting odds on a slow start make sense to us: a goalless first half followed by a United winner fits everything in these numbers.
