There are some excellent prospects in darts right now, and Gian van Veen is at the top of the list. The 23-year-old had the unenviable task of a first-round draw against Littler in the World Grand Prix, and despite losing, broke the all-time tournament record by posting a 106.47 average. His main threats are van Gerwen, who is arguably in the worst form of his career, and Stephen Bunting, who has struggled on stage all season. Rocky will meet Ricardo Pietreczko in round one and either Niko Springer or Jermaine Wattimena in a potential second round.
